HI Jeni,
I just stumbled upon your sites while I was researching the surgery I might be having done later this year. I’m 24 and just had my first baby girl in December, turns out she was born with hip dysplasia. After having it checked out by pediatricians we were referred to a specialist who said she needs surgery and that I should get checked out as well since I have had mild hip pain. Turns out I have it too!! So I think the PAO is the surgery I will be having done. I’m probably going to wait till my baby is finished healing and then do it. The dr. said the recovery is about 6-8 weeks on cruthes, is that per hip?How long would you say it takes till you can just walk around and be normal? I don’t know very much about this yet since we just found out so any tips would be helpful.. thanks!
