I'm 24 and just had my first baby girl in December, turns out she was born with hip dysplasia. After having it checked out by pediatricians we were referred to a specialist who said she needs surgery and that I should get checked out as well since I have had mild hip pain. Turns out I have it too!! So I think the PAO is the surgery I will be having done. I'm probably going to wait till my baby is finished healing and then do it. The dr. said the recovery is about 6-8 weeks on cruthes, is that per hip?How long would you say it takes till you can just walk around and be normal? I don't know very much about this yet since we just found out so any tips would be helpful.. thanks! HI Jeni,
