Lots of Bugs in MO. Frogs help take care of that.

Found this guy on the back roads as I was heading to Warrensburg.

It’s hot…it’s humid…the air full of pollen…but I did it. I rode on the Ritchie Breakaway; mostly high intensity - intervals done throughout the past 10 days I’ve been here. Uggghhhh.

My interval lengths have extended, so it will be interesting to see if I can maintain that at the higher altitude back home.
Tried to get [...]

Hermosa Creek

I haven’t been on this trail in years! Got the chance to ride part of it with Anthony, Darian, and Sue.

As usual, it was a great day for a ride. The full out and back would have been nice, but we were having a good time, outside, on the bikes. That’s really what it was [...]

It was not to be…at least for this year. Race and Tour were both cancelled because of inclement weather. I’m kind of happy they did do the “safe” thing, because riding in snow and rain is not really one of my most enjoyable things to do.
At a minimum, the cancelled race/tour equates to [...]

Bread Ride

Another Saturday in Durango, and another ass kicking on the Bread ride. It was a good one today because we got some climbing in. Headed out from Bread to Needles and back. I think I got in about 57 miles. Not sure because I turned the bike computer off in Needles and forgot to turn [...]

All Things New

Life is about change.

It’s about experiencing new things.
Taking risks.
Enjoying what the world has to offer.
It’s carpe diem with some common sense thrown in.
No reason to wonder what’s on the horizon, when you have the opportunity to experience it first hand.
Saving for that rainy day? What if it never rains?

Business

Today was a busy one. Teleconferences from 8 AM until 5 PM. I think I had a 30 minute break sometime in the day, but I can’t remember when. Matt comes home at the end of the day and I’m still in my PJs. I worked all day in them. Is that good? I don’t [...]

Nada

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I guess I just don’t have a lot to report these days. I’m definitely getting used to working from home. I’m definitely wanting the snow to melt so I can start mountain biking! In the meantime, I’m a roadie.
Going to hook up with the Durango Wheel [...]

Still got snow

Still getting more of the white stuff, so I figured I’d snow shoe again. I’m enjoying it, and who knows how often I’ll get the chance to do this! I decided to hike through the neighborhood up to Pipeline trail and then head towards the Telegraph Trail System.

I got to make first tracks all day, [...]

Enjoying the New Place

Matt & I decided to do some snow fun today. I took out the snow shoes and Matt took out the cross country skis. It was really nice out today…warm weather, blue skies…all the stuff you want on a snowy day of fun.

Drove out towards Mancos and did part of the Madden Peak Road.

Had [...]

Settling in

Things are starting to look like home again. The weather has been great, and the new pad is even better! We’re still unpacking, but we’ve made a nice dent in boxes. The important rooms are set up, that’s what counts. All the other stuff can wait until another day.

I’ve taken some vacation to get situated, [...]

Astana

Got a call from Matt as he was driving down Tramway toward the casino…Astana is coming up the hill! So I jumped onto the Moots and headed out to see them. It took a while, they must have turned up La Luz first and taken a potty break at the top….but they finally made it [...]

It’s almost time…

Less than 2 weeks left for me. I can’t wait!! Snow shoeing, cross country skiing, biking, who knows what it will be for the next couple of months, but it will all be good!
